Clever is an application that is meant to make using technology easy to use in the classroom and at home. Your child can get to several education applications by going to Clever.

Copies of the Family Letters that introduce each unit and includes answer keys for each Study Link.

Everyday Math at Home
Includes important vocabulary for each unit, copies of each Study Link, and background information for parents.

Everyday Math Algorithms
The Everyday Math curriculum teaches students several different ways to perform the different operations. These methods are called algorithms. This is a relatively new approach to teaching mathematics that you may not be familiar with. This website takes you through the steps for each algorithm.

Hit the Button by Top Marks - This site is designed for students 6-11 and focuses on doubles, halves, square numbers, and number bonds, with timed drills, in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Moby Max - Free to set up accounts for teachers and students. Many subjects, including fact fluency, appear to be free.

Khan Academy - No login required or account setup. Students may practice various skills including fact fluency.

Splash Math - No login required or account setup.

IXL - Limited parts of the site are free.

Math Trainer on the Math Is Fun website. No login required.

Times Tables - Fluency practice in multiplication.

Adaptive Math Sites
Prodigy Math - Grades 1-8 - Students "battle" other players in the game by solving math problems aligned to the Common Core. Teachers have the option to customize which skills students will be working on. Players are anonymous.

Mangahigh - Grades 2-12

Sumdog - Adaptive, research-based math & literacy program.

Woot Math - Grades 3-8: Adaptive fractions, decimals, and ratios.

XtraMath - Adaptive site for math facts practice.

Freckle - Provides differentiation in literacy, math, science, and social studies.

English Language Arts
Guided Reading
Guided reading is provided through small-group reading instruction designed to provide differentiated teaching that supports students in developing reading proficiency. Students will be reading fiction and non-fiction text this year.

Lucy Calkins - Writing Workshop
This is the basis of our writing curriculum. Components of the units of study are used as part of writing instruction. In fourth grade, students focus on writing a personal narrative, opinion, and information paper.
